To provide a heating and cleaning apparatus of contaminated soil suitably heating and cleaning contaminated soil containing volatile organic compounds such as heavy oil.

Dust in exhaust gas is collected by dust collectors 9, 10 in the downstream side of an exhaust gas flue 7 of a soil-heating rotary kiln 1 for cleaning the contaminated soil by heating, and a dust heating rotary kiln 18 heating the collected dust to clean the volatile organic compounds in the dust is disposed, while being connected to the dust collectors 9, 10. A cyclone type dust collector 29 is interposed in the middle of the downstream side of a flue 27 of the dust heating kiln 18, and a small deodorizing furnace 30 burning and decomposing tar of a high boiling point is disposed. A soil cooling drum 33 is disposed to cool high temperature soil discharged from the soil-heating rotary kiln 1, and the exhaust gas flue 40 of the small deodorizing furnace 30 is connected to the soil cooling drum 33. A bag filter type dust collector 43 is disposed in the downstream of an exhaust gas flue 41 of the soil cooling drum 33.
