Abstract:
To produce low-cost cast iron having excellent heat resistance.
This heat resistant cast iron contains ductile cast iron and one or more kinds of elements selected from, to the ductile cast iron, by weight, 4 to 5% silicon, 0.5 to 2.0% aluminum and 0.05 to 0.2% rare earth elements. Further, the content of pearlite in the ductile cast iron is preferably controlled to ≤5%.
