Abstract:
PURPOSE: To minimize reduction in surface area even by calcining at a high temp. and to inhibit deterioration by adding La, Pr and Ba to Al2O3.
CONSTITUTION: Al2O3 powder is impregnated with an aq. soln. contg. an La salt such as La(NO3)3, a Pr salt such as Pr(NO3)3 and a Ba salt such as Ba(NO3)2 so as to regulate the atomic ratio of (La+Pr+Ba)/(La+Pr+Ba+Al) to 0.05-0.20. The impregnated powder is dried and calcined at ≥1,000°C.
