Title:
HEAT-RESISTANT CONDUCTIVE SLIDING BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3580837
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a heat-resistant conductive sliding bearing which does not impair the heating roller of electrophotographic equipment, by incorporating a tetrafluoroethylene resin, aromatic polyamide fibers and artificial graphite into the principal constituent comprising a polyphenylene sulfide resin.
CONSTITUTION: A polyphenylene sulfide resin is melt compounded with 5-40wt.% tetrafluoroethylene resin, 3-35wt.% aromatic polyamide fibers and 3-30wt.% artificial graphite to prepare a resin composition. This composition is molded to produce a heat-resistant conductive sliding bearing for the heating roller and pressure roller for electrophotographic equipment. This bearing has sufficient heat resistance, conductivity and abrasion resistance and does not impair the heating roller made of an aluminum alloy in sliding contact therewith. As the artificial graphite, one in scaly or flaky form having a purity of at least 99.9% is preferably used.
