Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a heat resistant Mg alloy withstanding use without carrying out a heat treatment by preparing an Mg alloy contg. a specified percentage each of Sn and Si.

CONSTITUTION: This heat resistant Mg alloy consists of 6.0-20.0wt.% Sn, 0.2-2.0wt.% Si and the balance Mg with inevitable substances or further contains ≤4.0wt.% Al and/or Zn. This Mg alloy is excellent in creep characteristics as cast without carrying out heat treatment.
