Abstract:
The invention relates to a refractory body ( 5 ) for use in a protection system for the interior wall ( 1 ) of a furnace. Said body comprises a front face ( 7 ), a rear face ( 8 ) and edge faces ( 11, 12, 13, 14 ) that link the front face ( 7 )to the rear face ( 7 ). The rear face of said refractory body ( 5 ) has at least one groove ( 6 ) for receiving a retaining element ( 4 ), said groove ( 6 ) comprising a first end face ( 6 a) that opens onto an edge face ( 14 ) and a second end face ( 6 b) that lies in the interior of the rear face ( 8 ). The groove ( 6 ) has a cross-section that increases from the rear face ( 8 ) towards the front face ( 7 ).
