Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat-resistant paper being a thin paper, especially, having characteristics useful as a support of a catalyst in a chemical reaction and having excellent strength and excellent in various kinds of processabilities, especially corrugation processing.
CONSTITUTION: This heat resistant paper contains (a) 5-30wt.% of pulp made from a cellulose fiber, a polyolefin fiber or an aromatic polyamide fiber, (b) 10-30wt.% of a glass fiber and (c) 40-85wt.% of sepiolite. This catalyst support can be obtained by forming such a heat resistant paper in a corrugation-like structure.
