To obtain the subject composition which has excellent sliding characteristics and does not damage a sliding counter-material even under a high temperature atmosphere by adding a specific amount of a specified sulfonate salt to a resin composition comprising a heat-resistant thermoplastic resin, tetrafluoroethylene resin and graphite.
This heat-resistant resin composition for sliding members is obtained by adding 0.1 to 10 pts.wt. of a fluorinated alkyl group-having sulfonate salt of the formula: RfSO3M (Rf is a 8 to 22C fluorinated alkyl; M is Na or K) (for example, FTOP EF-102 (R) (produced by Tokemu Product Co.) to 100 pts.wt. of resin composition comprising 40 to 88 wt.% of a heat-resistant thermoplastic resin (for example, a polyetheretherketone resin), 10 to 50 wt.% of tetrafluoroethylene resin [for example, Teflon 7AJ (R) (produced by Mitsui du Pont Fluorochemical Co.)] and 2 to 10 wt.% of graphite (for example, scaly graphite).
