PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition having improved heat distortion resistance and transparency, while maintaining characteristic properties of the resin, by blending vinyl chloride resin with a copolymer consisting of methyl methacrylate, an N-substituted maleimide and an aromatic vinyl compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 50W95pts.wt. chloride resin which contains ≥80wt% vinyl chloride component and has preferably 600W1,100 average polymerization degree is blended with (B) 50W5pts.wt. copolymer consisting of (i) 90W50wt% methyl methacrylate component, (ii) 5W25wt% N-substituted maleimide component selected from 1W4C N-alkylmaleimide, N-phenylmaleimide, N-substituted phenylmaleimide and N-cyclohexylmaleimide, preferably N-cyclohexylmaleimide and (iii) 5W25wt% aromatic vinyl compound component, preferably- methylstyrene, etc., to give a resin composition.
