Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant nonwoven fabric that has a low basis weight, is dense and has sufficient heat-resistance, in a heat-resistant wet type nonwoven fabric containing PPS fibers.SOLUTION: A heat-resistant wet type nonwoven fabric containing polyphenylene sulfide fibers includes a fiber layer containing stretched polyphenylene sulfide fibers and unstretched polyphenylene sulfide fibers and an inorganic fine particle-containing layer provided on at least one surface of the fiber layer, in which, preferably, the inorganic fine particles are particles of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of magnesium hydroxide, mica and clay.SELECTED DRAWING: None
