Title:
HEAT-RESISTING STEEL FOR VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6479351
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture a heat-resisting steel for valve excellent in wear resistance as well as in corrosion resistance to leaded gasoline, by incorporating specific percentages of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Co, Mo, W, Nb, V, and N to Fe.

CONSTITUTION: An alloy having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.25W0.50% C, ≤0.40% Si, 5.0W15.0% Mn, ≤5.0% Ni, 18.0W27.0% Cr, 5.0W20.0% Co, 0.5W2.0% Mo and/or W, 0.1W1.0% Nb and/or V, 0.35W0.55% N, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities is prepared. By this method, the heat- resisting steel for valve in which corrosion loss at the time of holding at 900°C for one hour under a PbO-PbSO4-containing environment is regulated to ≤100mg/cm2.h and which has ≥15kgf/mm2 tensile strength at 900°C can be obtained.
