Title:
HEAT-RETAINING, MOISTURE-PERMEATING AND WATER-PROOFING FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6468572
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a fabric that have excellent heat-retaining and moisture- permeable and water-proofing properties by forming a resin layer including fine particles of ceramic that can radiate far-infrared rays on the surface of the fabric.

CONSTITUTION: A resin coat is formed on the surface of fabric by using a resin, preferably polyurethane resin, including 0.1-50 wt.% of fine particles (≤20 μ particle sizes) of a ceramic capable of radiating far-infrared rays, for example, through the wet film formation by direct coating. The resultant coated fabric shows excellent heat-retaining properties as well as excellent moisture permeability and abrasion resistance and can suitably be used as a sport wear. As a ceramic capable of radiating far-infrared rays, are preferably cited carbides of group IV transition metal in the periodic table, for example, fine particle of carbides of silicon, boron, tantalum or the like. The fiber fabric is, for example, woven, knitted or nonwoven fabric or the like made of a synthetic fibers as polyamide, polyester or their mixture with cotton, for example, nylon 6/ cotton.
