PURPOSE: To eliminate wrinkling and the enable heat fixation even when an unfixed image holder made of plural paper pieces is used by fitting a pipe- shaped body made of a flexible member which deforms elastically between a heat fixing roller and a pressure roller coaxially with a pressure fixing roller.
CONSTITUTION: The heat roller is covered with the pipe-shaped body formed of the flexible plate material capable of deforming elastically such as a stainless steel plate so that a gap is formed with the outer periphery of the heat roller 1. Then the pipe-shaped body 3 is pressed by rotatable support rollers 4a and 4b from above to place the pipe=shaped body 3 in a plane state nearby the contact point between the heat roller 1 and pressure roller 2. Further, a heat- resisting rubber layer 1c for increasing the friction coefficient between the surface of the heat roller 1 and the inner peripheral surface of the pipe-shaped body 3 is formed on the surface of the heat roller 1. Then, a peeling material layer is formed of 'Teflon(R)' on the surface of the pipe-shaped body 3. Consequently, even when the unfixed image holder like an envelope is used, the heat fixation of an unfixed image becomes possible without wrinkling.
