Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which automatically adjusts the pressure to a transfer object body of a heat roller for transferring an image of an intermediate transfer medium to the transfer object body in an indirect thermal transfer system printer to be constant regardless of the thickness of the transfer object body.SOLUTION: A heat roller pressure adjustment mechanism includes: a heat roller support part formed of a heat roller bearing jig, a shaft, a magnetic fluid charging cylinder, a resistance disc, a magnetism generation part and a load cell; an upper beam part; and a control part. With the magnetic field of the magnetism generation part, viscosity of the magnetic fluid in the magnetic fluid charging cylinder changes to decide the motion of the resistance disc. The control part adjusts the magnetic field of the magnetism generation part in accordance with the pressure sensed by the load cell, and makes the pressure of the heat roller to the transfer object body constant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
