Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester film imparting sharp printing or duplication, having durability, excellent in hiding power, whiteness and heat sealability and especially suitable for a packing material by providing a heat-sealing layer and rationalizing the pore size.
CONSTITUTION: In a polyester film containing a large amount of fine pores produced by at least uniaxially orienting a polymer mixture wherein a thermoplastic resin incompatible with polyester is mixed with polyester, the content of pores contained in the surface layer up to a depth of 3μm from the surface of the polyester film is set to 4vol.% or less and the average pore content of the whole layer of the film is set to 8-50vol.%. A heat-sealing layer composed of copolyester is provided to at least the single surface of this film.
