PURPOSE: To provide a small type heat sensitive recording head with a simple wiring while being easy to manufacture by arranging a switch element, a latch circuit and a shift register for a semiconductor for driving a heat generating body block.

CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor device 2 is provided on each block of heat generating bodys 1 comprising electric resistor adapted to generate heat with energization to drive it selectively. The semiconductor device 2 is made up of an transistors 3 (switching element) with each emitter connected to the heat generating bodies 1 through a terminal t1 to control the energization thereof, a latch circuit 4 connected to the base of the transistors 3 for driving the heat generating bodies to output a driving signal to the transistors 3 and a shift register 5 for transferring a picture signal input into the latch circuit 4.
