Abstract:

To provide a heat-sensitive recording material high in whiteness, in which a stain problem is solved.

In the heat-sensitive recording material having, on a support, a heat-sensitive recording layer, which contains a diazonium salt compound and a coupler compound to develop color by reacting with the diazonium salt compound, the coupler compound is enclosed in the same microcapsule as the diazonium salt compound in the amount of 10-4 times mole to 10-2 times mole in relation to the diazonium salt compound, and also contained outside of the microcapsule.
