Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate printing on labels made only of ordinary paper by a method wherein a heat-sensitive transfer ribbon is transferred facing a label which reaches the transfer position of a heat-sensitive transfer apparatus and only a part of the ribbon which is to be transferred is heated and melted and transferred.

CONSTITUTION: After a label 9 in a strip 2 of labels is detected by a label detector 4 by transferring a separator paper 10 by a label transferring roller 7, the part with which drawings such as letters, numerals of figures are thermally transferred on the label 9 is transferred close to a thermal head 11 of a heat- sensitive transfer apparatus 5. Then a heat-sensitive transfer ribbon 12 is made contact with the label 9 by the heat-sensitive transfer apparatus 5 and the head part of the thermal head 11 presses the contact part and the heat-sensitive transfer printing is performed. With this constitution, the drawings such as letters, numerals or figures can be printed on the label quietly and without vibration.
