Title:
HEAT-SENSITIVE TYPE LINE PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5784873
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the titled printer adapted for ensuring that both the contact and separation of a thermal head relative to a platen and the contact and separation of a pinch roller relative to a paper feed roller can be performed in an interlocked manner by a single manual operation of a cam, by a method wherein a heat fitting plate and a pinch roller lever are provided in rotatable conditions.

CONSTITUTION: The heat fitting plate 11 with the thermal head 9 fixed to the tip thereof is pivotably supported from below by a heat supporting plate 13 so that it can be rotated up and down. On the other hand, the pinch roller 3 has its shaft rotatably supported at the tip of the pinch roller lever 26, which is rotatably supported by a machine body 1 through a shaft 22 coaxial with the head supporting plate 13. In replacing a heat-sensitive paper 4 or the like, when the cam 24 is rotated by 180° from the low position shown, the head supporting plate 13 pushes the head fitting plate 11 upwardly and a pin 27 causes the lever 26 to rotate, resulting in that head 9 and the roller 3 are separated from the platen 8 and the paper feed roller 2, respectively.
