To provide a heat shielding structure for an automobile capable of surely preventing an inflow of air increased in temperature and capable of improving workability at the time of installation.
A heat shielding member 20 is placed in a space s1 between a cross member (automobile body member) 10 and an air conditioning condenser 7. The heat shielding member 20 includes a band of a base part 20a vertically extending in a heat shielding area of the space s1, and elastically deformable heat shields 20b, 20c formed so as to block up the space s1. A hook-shaped first engaging part 20d to engage with a lower edge portion 10d of the cross member 10, and a claw-shaped second engaging part 20e to engage with an upper edge portion 10c of the same in a state that the first engaging part 20d is engaged with the lower edge portion 10d are formed in the base part 20a.
