Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shielding structure for exhaust components, which can protect the components arranged around a catalytic converter from heat and improve cooling performance of a radiator.SOLUTION: A radiator 2 is arranged at a vehicle front part in an engine room 1, a transmission 4 is mounted behind the same, and an engine 5 is connected with one side in a vehicle width direction of the transmission 4. A catalytic converter 15 is arranged on a lower side of an exhaust manifold 13 on a vehicle front side of the engine 5, and the catalytic converter 15 is covered with a heat shield cover 17. At one end in the vehicle width direction of the heat shield cover 17, for mounting the heat shield cover 17 to a vehicle front face portion of a flange part 11 formed on a cylinder block for joining the transmission, a mounting part 18 long in a vehicle vertical direction is formed to extend along the shape of the vehicle front face portion of the flange part 11. The heat shield cover 17 is formed with a cover part 20 that reaches the other end in the vehicle width direction, which is on the opposite side from the one end in the vehicle with direction, from the mounting part 18 via a vehicle front part of the catalytic converter 15.
