Title:
HEAT SHRINKABLE EXTERIOR IMPLEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3877242
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to simply manufacture a heat shrinkable exterior implement protected against local damage or lacerations if a strong mechanical stress is received by constituting a reinforcing insert by plastic lattice, and incorporating the shrinkability in the shrinking direction of a surface layer in the lattice.
SOLUTION: The structure of a lattice-like reinforcing insert VEG constituted as a lattice is formed of individual lattice elements GE crossing at respective intersections K, and a square lattice mesh GM is formed. The insert VEG is shrinkable in the shrinking direction SR, but is impossible to be shrinkable in the lengthwise direction LR or the axial direction of the exterior implement. The elongation of the insert VEG for causing the shrinkage is conducted together with the composition or previously in the reverse direction before the composition. Thus, the heat shrinkable implement protected against the local damage or lacerations when strong mechanical stress is received can simply be manufactured, and high shrinkage force is obtained.
