Title:
HEAT-SHRINKABLE SIDE INLET CABLE COVERING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3315106
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily embed a heat-shrinkable tube by providing sufficient internal cohesive force for shrinking with the tube when heating is made by the shrink temperature of plastic and sufficient bonding force to the plastic of the tube in an adhesive, and providing a release layer on a stripe in a pressure-sensitive adhesive.
SOLUTION: Heat shrinkable side inlet cable covering consists of a heat shrinkable tube 10 that is chemical-resistant and can endure high temperature. The stripe of a pressure-sensitive adhesive 11 is bonded in a vertical direction along the outside surface of the tube. The outside of the pressure-sensitive adhesive is covered with a craft paper release layer 12. The pressure-sensitive adhesive 11 exists along an edge 16, no excessive materials exist at an edge 17, the excessive overlap of the edge leaves a free edge that curls on heat shrinkage as remainder. The adhesive being used at an overlap has sufficient internal cohesive force, and sufficient bonding force to the plastic of the heat shrinkable tube, thus enabling the heat shrinkable tube regardless of the length.
