To provide an easy-to-manufacture heat sink, the heat dissipation ability of which has been improved, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.
The heat sink 1 is provided with a heat dissipating base 2 having a heat dissipating fin mounting surface 2a and a heat receiving surface 2b and a heat dissipating fin 3 joined to the heat dissipating fin mounting surface 2a. The dissipating fin 3 is composed of a plurality of parallel fin bodies 4, spaced in the longitudinal direction and extending in the transverse direction and coupling parts 5 for integrally coupling to all of the fin main bodies 4 by turns at the upper edges and lower edges on both right and left ends. The fin bodies 4 are formed by arranging the wave-shaped boards 6 composed of forward-protruding bend parts 6a and backward-protruding bend parts 6b, provided in the vertical direction by turns in the transverse direction and mutually integrally coupling the boards. Neighboring ones of the forward-protruding bend parts 6a and neighboring ones of the backward-protruding bend parts 6b are respectively shifted from each other in the vertical direction.
