Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat sink excellent in machinability and economy while utilizing a diamond and production method thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The diamond sink 1 is formed by mixing a diamond powder 3 comprising high purity diamond particles having particle size of 0.1-100μm with a cemented carbide material 2 principally comprising WC and containing one or more than one kind of Co, Ni, Fe and inevitable impurities. Preferably, the diamond powder is admixed by 5-90% to the cemented carbide material and the mixture of particles of diamond, WC, Co, etc., is sintered at 1200-1500°C under pressure of 3-6GPa.
