To provide a heat storage device and a heat storage type heater capable of taking out heat exceeding steam temperature under atmospheric pressure.
The heat storage device 20 comprises a heater 24 for heating heat storage materials 22 with which a case 21 is filled, and a heat transfer pipe 23 disposed in the case 21 in which a heating medium flows to perform a heat exchange between the heating medium and the heat storage materials 22. The heating medium is incombustible oil. Specifically, dibenzyl toluene heating medium of dibenzyl heating media is used as the heating medium. Then, edible oil 33 in a heating vessel 30 is heated by using the heat storage device 20 as a heat source. Since the benzyl toluene heating medium has a high boiling point (391°C), the edible oil 33 in the heating vessel 30 can be heated to, for instance, 220°C under atmospheric pressure. That is, heat exceeding the steam temperature (100°C under atmospheric pressure) of water can be taken out differently from a case where the heating medium is water.
