Title:
HEAT STORAGE UNIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3165961
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate heat transfer in a heat storage tank by arranging a heating source and a heat transfer tube in a heat storage tank provided with a heat storage material made of a first solid substance and a second substance taking liquid state in the heat storage temperature region and filling a gap formed between the first substance, the heat transfer tube and the heating source.
SOLUTION: When this unit is applied to a steam generator, an electric heater 14 and a heat transfer tube 13 are arranged in a heat storage tank 11 which is then filled with a heat storage material 12 comprising a first solid substance, i.e., magnesia, and a second heat carrier substance taking liquid state in the heat storage temperature region, i.e., a mixture of sodium nitrate/ sodium nitrite/potassium nitrate. Water is conducted through the heat transfer tube 13 upon request of steam generation and the water 15 in the heat transfer tube 13 is heated by the high temperature heat storage material 12 and taken out as steam 16. If supply of the water 15 is insufficient for the heating capacity of the heat storage material 12, superheated steam 16 is generated and saturated steam is generated as supply of the water 15 is increased.
