Abstract:

To enable a contact time with a heat transfer pipe for fluid through an expanded surface area per unit length at an inner circumferential surface to be increased and further to enable an interface layer of flow to be made thin as far as possible due to a variation in expansion or narrowing of a fluid passage area by a method wherein an inner circumferential surface is formed into a helical waveform surface with its winding direction being made different over its longitudinal direction.

A heat transfer pipe P is made of various kinds of metallic materials such as Ti, SUS or Cu or the like, wherein at least its inner circumferential surface is formed into a corrugated helical surface 6 with its winding direction in at least one location being made difference over its lengthwise direction, a surface area per unit length at the inner circumferential surface of the heat transfer pipe P is expanded with the corrugated surface to extend a contact time of fluid flowing near a pipe wall of the heat transfer pipe with the pipe wall, a relative speed of with respect to the pipe wall is made fast and at the same time an area of the fluid passage is changed to be expanded or narrowed. Then, the corrugated surface having the same phase as that of the corrugated surface 6 at the inner circumferential surface may also be formed at the outer circumferential surface.
