To permit the formation of a color picture, having no frame beautifully on a small card, having a smaller area compared with an image-receiving layer, by a method wherein the film of silicone particle is formed on the transfer body of the image receiving layer, having the principal constituent of butyral resin, under a specified condition.
In a heat transfer recording device, a color material supplying sheet 11, on which a plurality of color material layers 7 are formed repeatedly, is bonded on an image receiving layer 2, formed on an image layer transfer sheet 4 and consisting of butyral resin having glass transition temperature of 55-85°C by pressure, then, a part of the color material layer 7 is transferred onto the image receiving layer 2 selectively by heating a thermal head 14 based on a picture information to form a color picture and, thereafter, the color picture is formed on a recording paper 17. In this case, 5-10wt.% of silicone particle, having the grain size of 0.3-1.0μm, is contained in the image receiving layer 2, consisting of the principal constituent of butyral resin having the glass transition point of 55-85°C, while the silicone particle film, having the thickness of 2-4μm, is formed on the transfer body.
