To provide a heat-transfer sheet of which the usage can be restricted so that only a heat-transfer sheet which has received the approval of a quality assurance from a printer maker may be used for the printer for the performance of an appropriate printing, and in which a printing quality and a thermal head can be prevented from deteriorating when a cassette case is re-used, and the heat-transfer sheet is replaced and housed in the cassette case, and provide further a recording method thereof.
In this heat-transfer sheet 1, a heat-transfer layer is provided on a base material film, and at the tip end of the heat-transfer sheet 1, a pattern-form mark 2 to identify that the heat-transfer sheet 1 is a genuine article is provided, and a heat-transfer printer adapting to the heat-transfer sheet 1 reads that the heat-transfer sheet 1 is the genuine article, and a recording is started. Therefore, a printing quality and a thermal head can be prevented from deteriorating, and a printing suitable to the printer can be performed.
