PURPOSE: To improve the performance of a heat transfer tube, by arranging flat fins in zigzag with inclinations with respect to the axis of the tube, which are opposite to each other.
CONSTITUTION: Absorbing solution 5, sprayed from the upper part of a heat transfer tube 1, flows down while meandering between flat fins 2 arranged in zigzag. The flow passage is meandered, therefore, the flow passage of the absorbing solution 5 becomes long and a period of time of the stagnation of the absorbing solution 5 between fins 2 is elongated. Further, the flow of the absorbing solution 5 is disturbed by the flow down of the absorbing solution 5 along the flat fins 2 and the cutting of the flat fins 2 finely with a predetermined interval whereby the density of the absorbing solution 5 in a diaphragm is unified and the thickness of the film of the solution is also unified. In addition, the zigzag arrangement of the fins 2 makes a temperature and speed boundary layer 8 thin by turbulent flow effect and breaks the layer 8, whereby a temperature difference between the absorbing solution 5 and the fins 2 can be maximized. According to these methods, the performance of the heat transfer tube may be improved.
