PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely, highly reliably and rapidly manufacturing a heat transmit plate of a flat type having an intricate structure bonding metallic plates to each other with high yield by using electric resistance welding, then subjecting the plate to tube expansion operation and an optimum refrigerator using the same.
SOLUTION: The plates 1 and 2 are inserted between a lower die 61 on the inner side of a pedestal 63 and an upper die 60 of an inner side of a pressing seat 62 and are subjected to the tube expansion operation by admitting compressed air between the plates 1 and 2 subjected to the resistance welding at required points. At this time, the peripheral edges of the metallic plates 1 and 2 are previously widely provided with non-tube expansion parts 13 and 14 and after the plates are securely held by pressers 64 and 66 for the upper die and pressers 65 and 67 for the lower die, the plates are subjected to the tube expansion operation. If the heat transmit plate 100 is formed in the manner described above, the bulging of the heat transmit plate 100 is made uniform over the entire part and such situation that the sectional area of a refrigerant flow passage 36 is varied depending upon places by the partial abnormal shrinkage does not occur any more and the heat transmit plate having high reliability may be obtained.
