Abstract:

PURPOSE: To heat to grain refining temperature in a short time by polishing the end part of a welded joint to a smooth slanting surface and heating to a specified temperature by a gas burner that has wide heating width.

CONSTITUTION: A fillet weld bead part 3, especially its end part 3' of steel materials 1, 2 such as Cr-Mo steel, high tensile steel etc. is polished to a smooth slanted surface by a grinder. Next, the distance between the end part 3' and the tip of a gas burner 4 is adjusted to 23W27mm and the end part is heated by the gas burner 4 to about 900°C. In this case, a gas burner for linear heating is used.
