Abstract:
PURPOSE: To operate a batch type heat-treatment furnace (electric furnace) in a batch-continuous operation mode to enhance the operating efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: A heat-treatment furnace includes two carriages 1a and 1b, a heat-treatment furnace main body 10, wall opening mechanisms and moderate- cooling covers 20a and 20b. The carriages 1a and 1b travel along rails R0 and workpieces W to be heat-treated are loaded on them. The heat-treatment furnace 10 has a closed space which uses either of the carriages 1a and 1b as a bottom when the one is positioned at a specified location on the rails R0. The wall opening mechanisms respectively open and close walls of the heat-treatment furnace on the left and right sides of the rails R0. The moderate-cooling covers 20a and 20b are respectively installed on the left and right sides of the rails R0, is movable in the stretching direction of the rails R0, and is able to cover over either of the carriages 1a and 1b.
