Abstract:
This invention provides a heating furnace having a heating zone (12) for heating a metal strip (1), a cooling zone (13) for cooling the metal strip (1) heated through the heating zone (12), and a holding zone (14) for holding the metal strip (1) cooled through the cooling zone (13). In the holding zone (14) a long path having a long distance of moving the metal strip (1) and a short path having a short distance of moving the metal strip (1) are provided, and these paths are switched in accordance with the kind of metal strips.
