Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment furnace which can utilize used gas containing hydrogen.SOLUTION: A furnace space in which a material 200 to be treated can be held is formed in a furnace body 10. In the furnace body 10, an introduction port 18 which introduces first gas containing hydrogen into the furnace space and discharge ports 20, 22 which discharge the gas held in the furnace space to the outside are formed. The furnace space has a heat treatment area the temperature of which is maintained at heat treatment temperature and a peripheral area which is disposed around the heat treatment area and the temperature of which is maintained at peripheral temperature lower than the heat treatment temperature. In the peripheral area, a hydrogen ion-conducting fuel battery 30 which operates at the peripheral temperature is disposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
