Abstract:
To provide a heat treatment method for objects to be heated which is capable of heating and heat treating the moldings of carbon powder which are the objects to be heated by utilizing an arc furnace for steel making.
Resistance heating elements consisting of coke 2 of 6 mm in average grain size and the moldings 3 of the carbon powder which come into contact with these resistance heating elements are loaded into the arc furnace 1 for steel making. The resistance heating elements in the arc furnace 1 for steel making are made to generate heat by energizing the resistance heating elements, by which the moldings 3 of the carbon powder are heated and heat treated.
