Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute an energy-saving and safe control in a heated toilet seat.
SOLUTION: A heated toilet seat has a toilet seat 22 provided with a seating section and a cavity in its inside; a radiation-type heating element 29 provided in the cavity; a temperature detection means 48 for detecting the temperature of the seating section of the toilet seat; a radiation-response-type thermostat 30 serially connected to the radiation-type heating element and having a bimetal for receiving the radiation light from the radiation-type heating element; and a heat-conduction-type thermostat 31 serially connected to the radiation-type heating element and having a cap in front of the bimetal so as not to directly receive the radiation light from the radiation-type heating element. This heated toilet seat is further provided with a control section 50 for controlling electricity conduction to the radiation-type heating element based on a signal from the temperature detection means, the radiation-response-type thermostat and the heat-conduction-type thermostat.
