Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control driving of a heater to save power, while considering kinds of fuel or impurities in fuel.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a controller 12 of a heater 10 configured to heat fuel input into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The controller is configured to store a filter clogging determination threshold L defined based on a temperature of a fuel before passing through a fuel filter 11 and the pressure difference across the fuel filter; when the temperature of fuel is less than a heater driving threshold, drive the heater until the pressure difference decreases to a first predetermined pressure difference P1; and when the fuel temperature during driving of the heater is more than the filter clogging determination threshold L, stop driving of the heater.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
