Abstract:
To increase the possibility of eliminating or preventing fogging of an imaging transparent area without a sensor for detecting a glass temperature, and reduce the possibility of wasteful power consumption by a camera heater.SOLUTION: A heater control device includes: a camera sensor that takes an image of the outside of a vehicle through an imaging transparent area of a window glass; and a camera heater that heats the imaging transparent area. The heater control device determines anti-fogging power for maintaining a temperature of the imaging transparent area at a target temperature so that the temperature of the imaging transparent area does not become lower than a dew point temperature estimated based on an indoor temperature and indoor humidity at the present point of time, by applying an outdoor temperature at the present point of time, a vehicle speed at the present point of time, and a target temperature equal to or greater than the dew point temperature, to a pre-set correlation between an outdoor temperature, a vehicle speed, and energization power to the camera heater, and the temperature of the imaging transparent area corresponding to the outdoor temperature, the vehicle speed, the energization power, and applies the anti-fogging power to the camera heater.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
