To provide a heater which apparently performs charcoal grilling but actually perform heating using an electric stove or gas stove, and thus leaves no ash, charcoal which is used in the heater for decoration but has a practical aspect such as emission of far infrared ray, and a manufacturing method thereof.

This heater comprises a heating container 11, a heating means 12 such as an electric stove or gas stove set within the container, and decorative charcoal placed on the heating means. The decorative charcoal 14 which can be seen from above is heated by the heating means 12 to emit red color similarly to general charcoal, but does not generate heat itself nor cause shape breakage. Therefore, it can be used many times, and no ash is left after heating.
