Title:
HEATER FOR IGNITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5824728
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To elevate the temperature of a non-conductive auxiliary heater consisting of a catalytic alloy member, and to ignite gas easily by mounting the auxiliary heater near a main heater red-heated through conduction.

CONSTITUTION: The non-conductive auxiliary heater 8 composed of the catalytic alloy member is set up near the main heater 7, which is connected between one heater supporting wire 4 and the other heater supporting wire 6 and red-heated through conduction. When the main heater 7 is positoned in a gas atmosphere such as methane gas under a condition that the main heater 7 is conducted and heat is generated, the auxiliary heater 8 is heated by the radiant heat of the main heater 7 at the same time as gas itself is heated while a catalytic reaction is generated through the contact of a catalytic body and the gas, and the temperature of the gas is elevated. Accordingly, since the heat quantity of the auxiliary heater 8 is added to the main heater 7 in the heat quantity of ignition to the gas, the gas can easily be ignited.
