PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen isotope storing heater for performing an efficient dispersion and condensing the stored hydrogen isotope and to provide h heat-generating device for efficiently recovering heat energy generated under a heat generating reaction produced by the heater.
CONSTITUTION: A heater 1 is comprised of a spherical body 2 made of metal absorbing hydrogen isotope, and a thin film layer 3 in which either one of substances having a small nuclear dispersion coefficient against the hydrogen isotope and substance becoming solid solution under a reaction with metal at a predetermined condition and is coated on the surface of the spherical body. The heating device is comprised of a reaction furnace, a heater supplying means for supplying the heater 1 in the reaction furnace, a heating means for heating the heater 1 within the reaction furnace, a heater recoverying means for recoverying the heater 1 from the reaction furnace, and a heat recoverying means for recoverying a heat energy in response to a heat generating reaction produced within the reaction furnace.
