To extremely simply execute igniting, irradiating and extinguishing operation with respect to fuel for raising the temperature of a provided catalyst body to a required one and to stably execute the irradiating operation of fire with respect to the catalyst body in particular.
A heater for simply insulating heat is provided with a range 1' in the shape of a container capable of mounting and supporting a heat insulated plate, etc., on itself with a part for ventilating air to outside, a fuel receiver which is provided in the container-shaped range 1' and whose upper surface part is opened to house fuel consisting essentially of alcohol, and a catalyst tray 12' arranged with the catalyst body over the fuel with its narrow pores of a vertical direction and provided with an open hole part communicated with the inside of the fuel receiver through each narrow pore of this catalyst body. This appliance is provided with a linked member being a swinging part which is freely swingable and can be engaged with an engaging piece 35 in the state of tilting at a fixed angle in this swinging process in the state of being capable of freely engaging and disengaging, and an engaging tool 33 supporting the tray 12' at the end of this member 43 is provided in the range 1' in the state of being engaged with the edge parts of engaging holes 31 and 32 formed at the peripheral side wall part of the range 1' through its projecting pieces 37 and extension part 39.
