Abstract:
To improve air-flow characteristics of an electric heater by arranging it parallel to a heater core.
A transverse heating or air-conditioning unit 1 has the electric heater 40 in an opening of a high-temperature passage downstream the heater core 50 and away from the heater core 50. A separated air-mixing door is provided in each of the high-temperature passage and a low-temperature passage. The electric heater 40 is on the same plane as the opening of the high- temperature passage to a mixing chamber in order to prevent air turbulence.
