To provide a heater that can extend its life.SOLUTION: A heater according to an embodiment is provided with: a cylindrical part; a coil that is provided inside the cylindrical part and extends along a tube axis of the cylindrical part; and a coating that covers an outer surface side of the cylindrical part, transmits infrared rays generated during energization of the heater, and includes a material that hardly reacts with a material included in an atmosphere in which the heater is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
