Abstract:

PURPOSE: To achieve the saving of a space and to make it possible to increase the temperature quickly in heating by providing a heat insulating member comprising heat resisting insulating material covering the outside of a thin pipe, and providing a control part, which directly turns ON/OFF the current supply to the thin pipe.

CONSTITUTION: A thin pipe 21 is formed of a cylindrical, nonmagnetic conductive material so as to cover the outside of a molten-metal distributing pipe 12. Lead wire terminals 22 are provided at both end parts. The thin pipe 21 acts as a heater tube, which is used for heating the molten-metal distributing pipe 12 by directly conducting a current. A heat insulating member 23 is formed of the ceramic fiber of heat resisting insulating material so as to cover the outside of the thin pipe 12. The current supply to the thin pipe 21 is made ON/OFF with a control part 24. Thus, the low-voltage, large current is conducted into the thin-pipe heater tube, and the temperature is increased quickly. The high-temperature molten metal is sent out of a molten-metal heat insulating furnace under the pressure with an electromagnetic pump without the decrease in temperature. As a result, the improvement of workability and energy saving are achieved, and the space for the entire molten-metal distributing pipe can be saved.
