This heating appliance for household (an electric pot 1) is equipped with the heating means (a warm-keeping heater 7), a temperature detecting means (a temperature sensor 10), and a control means. In this case, the heating means heats the article to be heated (an internal container 5). The temperature detecting means detects the temperature of the article to be heated. The control means controls the heating means based on a detected temperature by the temperature detecting means, and keeps the article to be heated at a set temperature. In such a heating appliance for household, the control means stops the heating for the article to be heated by the heating means when the detected temperature by the temperature detecting means exceeds a threshold value corresponding with the set temperature (the point a).
