A heating cooker includes a casing 101, a heating compartment 112 arranged in the casing 101 so as to have an opening opposed to a front of the casing 101, a door which is fitted to the front side of the casing 101 and opens and closes opening of the heating compartment 112, a steam generation device 111 which is arranged in the casing 101 and generates steam to be supplied to the heating compartment 112, a water tank which is housed in the casing 101 and stores water for the steam generation device 111, and a substantially rectangular tray 108 which is housed in the heating compartment 112, and is characterized in that the tray 108 has a plurality of protrusions and recesses arranged on its surface to extend obliquely relative to four sides of the tray 108, and the steam supplied from the steam generation device 111 is blown out from above the tray 108 in the heating compartment 112.
