To provide an improved microwave heating device that achieves enough heat treatment throughput with uniform and high-efficiency microwave heating.
Heat treatment can be efficiently performed in a short time by using a first heating oven 1 serving to raise the temperature of a heated material W to a predetermined treatment temperature, and a second heating oven 2 for keeping the heated material W at the predetermined treatment temperature. This heating device is provided with a conveying means 3 for sequentially conveying the sheet heated material W in the heating ovens 1 and 2. In the first oven 1, a microwave is introduced from a wave guide tube 6 into a microwave resonant cavity 4, and a certain magnetic field is generated in z-direction therein. To irradiate the material to be heated W with the microwave guided into the resonant cavity 4 the material W is moved in x-direction through an inlet 7a and an outlet 8a. Since the material W is rapidly heated in the heating oven 1 in a short time to uniformly reach the predetermined treatment temperature, the heat treatment throughput is increased.
